UK Funky and Bashment provide the foundation in which Smutlee’s sets take their keynote, but with a penchant for bass and with an intuitive understanding of the crowd, Smutlee is adaptable to a range of sounds and vibes without becoming cliché or mash-up.

Smutlee has carved a niche exploring the apertures between Funky and Dancehall. His seamless transition between Hip Hop, R&B, Funky and Dancehall has formed a strong fanbase due to this unique exploration with a distinctly UK influence.

Highly credible peers have called upon Smutlee’s talent, including a guest mix for Sinden’s Kiss FM radio show, with Sinden stating that “Smutlee is one of my favourite Djs out on the circuit". Suncycle regarded as the Leading British Dancehall act commissioned Smutlee to produce a Funky/Bashment promotional mix.

His remixes and blends have been supported in clubs and on Radio 1, 1xtra, Kiss FM and Rinse FM by the likes of Annie Mac, Toddla T, Mistajam, Sinden, Greenmoney, Roska, Heatwave, Young Lion and Tayo.
