One of the most sought-after acts the UK has to offer is making a headline appearance at Stealth for what 'promises' to be another awesome Detonate. With the release date hopefully pushed back for the last time, Nero are now four singles into their almost-as-highly-anticipated-as-Dr-Dre's album Welcome Reality due on AUG 1st via MTA Records. They have always maintained that it must be 'a coherent piece of work where every tune flows into the next' (KMag Feb 2010); something definitely worth waiting for! Siting last week that Nero 'keep astounding us' Zane Lowe awarded the duo their second Hottest Record in the World for this, their latest single, Promises; once again featuring the angelic vocals of the elusive Alana Watson:
Seven years on from Dan & Joe's first release (Requiem EP) the pair have been thrust into the hierarchy of electronic artists who are increasingly evolving their sound from niche underground hype to all out stadium destruction. Their progress has even earned them an upcoming soirée with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra where dubstep and classical meet for what will be a truly unique sounding 'Dubstep Symphony'. You'll have a chance to hear the results live on Mon 6th June on BBC Radio 1.
