AC SLATER (Trouble & Bass) at Stealth (09/04/11)

Saturday 9th April, 2011

Stealth Vs Rescued present...

AC SLATER (Trouble & Bass)
This Saturday we are looking forward to welcoming back Trouble & Bass star AC Slater to Stealth Vs Rescued. Brooklyn used to be known for its brownstone houses and pizza, but these days AC Slater (aka Aaron Clevenger) is working hard at making sure the borough is a hotspot on the worldwide map of heavy bass. Raised on ’90s hip-hop and nourished by old skool rave, Slater has combined his influences and love of music to birth his own production style, which is currently breathing life into subwoofers worldwide.

AC Slater continues to display his excellent DJing skills from Europe to the UK, from Canada to Mexico, from Asia to Australia and everywhere in between, leaving pumping adrenaline and wobbly speakers behind him wherever he goes. His music is consistently played on BBC Radio 1 and Kiss 100, and his tracks have appeared in DJ sets from Crookers, Armand Van Helden, Jack Beats, Freestylers, MSTRKRFT, Sinden, Drop the Lime & Stanton Warriors to name a few.

AC’s first major EP, 'Jack Got Jacked' hit the #1 bestseller position on Juno back in 2008 (and helped to launch the then unknown duo Jack Beats); Moby picked his remix of "Turn the Music Up" as one of the top 10 songs of the decade; and both Beatport and XLR8R Magazine have picked him as an "Artist to Watch" in 2009. Believe the hype!

Listen to/download his brand new 'Land Of Doom' mixtape recorded prior to his 2011 European/Australia tour:

Stealth Vs Rescued present...

TOMB CREW (Trouble & Bass)
This Saturday at Stealth Vs Rescued we are pleased to welcome back our friends TOMB CREW, who headline Room 1 as part of their regular 'MyCITY Is For Pimps' clubnight.
Tomb Crew comprised of Jamie, Nick and MC Illaman launch dancefloor destroying mixes of anything bass heavy – from house to kuduro and everything inbetween. Tomb Crew are part of the rapidly growing ‘new-bass’ scene but the truth is they have the mash-up principle down perfectly, the live show to end all live shows.

STEALTH Vs RESCUED present...

STAR EYES (Trouble & Bass)
www.soundcloud.com/stareyes
As former editor of the popular future-culture glossy XLR8R, few DJs know their stuff like Star Eyes (aka. Vivian Host). With Drop the Lime, Brooklyn's bad girl Star Eyes is a founding member of the world-famous Trouble & Bass crew and record label.

Star Eyes is known for throwing down raw, dirty underground tracks, from grime bangers to ghetto house, Miami bass classics to speaker-rattling dubstep. This veteran of the decks played drum & bass exclusively for 10 years, and was a member of the B.A.S.S. Crew, Eklektic, and Syrup Girls, before moving to New York and expanding her style to a genre she simply calls "heavy bass." She has played all over the world: Vans Warped Tour, Fabric London, Paris Social Club, Zouk Singapore, Insomniac LA, and the illest squats and underground parties from Queens to Cape Town. She releases on Trouble & Bass Recordings, and has done vocals for Drum & Bass star John B (Beta) and Passions (Kitsuné).

To get an idea of what to expect from her set check out her recent mix featuring the likes of Laidback Luke, Drop The Lime, Rusko, Deadboy, Tomb Crew, Shortstuff, Dark Sky, Flux Pavillion, Doc Daneeka, J-Wow, Supra1, DZ & loads more:

TOM STAAR (Trouble & Bass/Moda) @ Stealth - 16/10/10

Saturday 16th October at Stealth Vs Rescued

TOM STAAR (Trouble & Bass/Moda)

Tom Staar, the third member of Team Moda, is fast becoming one of the UK's most gazed upon producers. Working behind the scenes, Tom honed his skills as a studio engineer over a number of years, producing for some of Dance Music’s most prolific names. Now, as the moons align, Tom is finally ready to defend our humble dance floors with his own interstellar spectrum of sonic ammunition.

With two EPs on Moda Music (the most recent of which, the 'Heavy Artillery EP' has been licensed to Drop The Lime's Trouble & Bass Records) and remixes for Fenech Soler, Crookers, Renee Fleming, Human Life & We Have Band already under his utility-belt, his credentials have seen him take-off all over the World, playing everything from 500 capacity clubs to 20,000 capacity festivals!

Tom Staar & Friends is the next chapter - a collaborations EP with Style Of Eye, Tony Senghore, Herve and Sam Obernik. Word on the flight deck is that this is shaping up to be completely and utterly off the chart!

Room 2 on Saturday is hosted by Sessions, and is headlined by Guido, the Bristolian signed to Punch Drunk records.

Advance tickets are available online from here.

To get on the FREE BEFORE 11pm GUESTLIST write your names on the Facebook Event Wall.

AC Slater (Trouble & Bass) @ Stealth Vs Rescued

This Saturday we are pleased to welcome back one of the world's most sought after remixers and producers, (and officially the best DJ ever named after a character from Saved By The Bell) - Trouble and Bass star AC SLATER!

Raised on 90's Hip-Hop and nourished by old school rave, AC has cultivated these influences to give birth to his own style of music production.

One of the top blogged dance artists in the world (see the Hype Machine chart), AC's tracks can be frequently heard on radio stations worldwide. His army of world class supporters include Moby, Armand Van Helden, Crookers, Diplo, Laidback Luke and Drop The Lime.

Part of the infamous Brooklyn based Trouble and Bass label and DJ crew, AC is constantly touring globally leaving a wobbly wake of ecstatic crowds and loyal supporters.

In the first half of 2010 AC released his debut single "Take You" on Trouble and Bass, which will be followed by the eagerly anticipated "Calm Down Trilogy EP". Also watch out for his collaboration with Drop The Lime entitled "Slater and Lime".

Here is the video for AC's debut single:
